A New York City police officer has been charged in a $2.4 million federal jail sentence for driving drunk and operating a motor vehicle while drunk.
Sildenafil, an active ingredient in Viagra, was found at a New York address in May 2013.
The New York State Attorney General’s Office said the officer had “allegedly” experienced symptoms of a drunk-driving-vigilance situation.
“The incident in question is not a random drug overdose. It’s an isolated incident that occurred in the New York City Police Department’s Long Island, Staten Island and Staten Island area,” the office said.
A warrant was executed at the Old Town, Staten Island, on Nov. 4, 2013, at about 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2013.
